The tool I’ve chosen to evaluate is Scalar, an open-source, scholarly-focused content management system. “Scalar enables users to assemble media from multiple sources and juxtapose them with their own writing in a variety of ways, with minimal technical expertise required.”
The DH Project I’ll be evaluating is the Salem Witch Trial Archives
This site, while not very sleek or “sexy,” is full of trial documents and transcripts, court proceedings, record books – even sermons from the witch-burning crazies.
